New Salt Water?

I was wondering how long a batch of salt water could sit? I mixed up a 30 gallon batch about a month or so ago and its been sitting in my Brute mixup can. Would it be ok to throw a pump in there and use or throw it out and make a fresh batch?

Throw a pump in there overnight and test it. You may have to top off a bit with fresh if the SG is too high due to evaporation, but I can't think of any reason it wouldn't be any good.

i have water mixed 24/7/365 and every now and then it sits for that long as i have two saltwater buckets going all the time for emergencies . i would just make sure that the water looks clear and has no odor then check it with your test kit . it should be okay ,no worries . if your concerned though it may be your best option to dump it as you may have many corals or fish that it could hurt if its bad ,just weigh the odds and be smart.
