New sand, established rock?

Currently I have a 12.5 cadlights and a 20 gallon standard. About 35 lbs of live rock over both.

Was going to transfer them both into my new 30 gallon JBJ. But I decided for this tank, I was going to switch over to fine sand. It's got 20 lbs of fresh non-live sand in it. It's filled and running, dumped a bunch of pods and some macro algae in to get things going.

My question is, can I just toss my established live rock in and call it a day...? There shouldn't be any ammonia spikes or anything right? I'm not too worried about diatom blooms or anything, I only keep zoas and other equally easy things.

You should not have any kind of cycle, but go slow on adding livestock.

Including coral? My tanks aren't too heavily stocked, and the only fish I have are 2 clowns in the 20 gallon (who I plan to leave there just a little longer). No crabs, countless stomatella snails in the rocks.

No, the corals really do not add much to the bio-load. You just need to easy on the fish so their waste doesn't overwhelm the bacteria.

Awesome, thanks a bunch! Looks like tomorrow is partial stocking day, once the heater brings the new water up to temp :D
