New Score/Please Help ID

Tonite, after picking up my cube @ chaffey's, I stopped by Fish Collection to see Jimmy & what he had that I could drop some cash on. I saw this piece & asked his wife what it was & she replied "Some kind of plate coral & it's $45" & walked away. Jimmy had some really nice SPS colonies that I was looking at & the prices were down right cheap, but I couldn't come home w/ a tank & a $70 coral, otherwise I'd be dragging blankets to the couch......

I told Jimmy I liked this plate coral & he said "Oh, I'll give you a good deal on it.............say $30." "Bag it" I told him.

So, I need the experts to weigh in on this one. Is it a plate coral & if so, what type? I just knew that if it was looking this good under his t-5's, it was gonna look even better under mh's.........

actualy both are not corrects. Its a yellow scroll coral (turbinaria) the yellow is from the pollyps. Realy nice piece. I lost mine a while back when I had the AEFW on my old tank. Here is apicture of one

it only gets the bright yellow rim as it get bigger and with alot of light. Some of them can actualy get a lavendar(sp) color instead of a brown. I think clint still has his in the display tank. Next time you stop by BCH check it out.

hey steve,
i saw that piece when i went there yesterday.. i really liked it but didnt have any cash to drop.. and i wanted that cube u got as well!! i thought i was waiting for a pm and next thing i knew..SOLD!! haha anyway what other nice pieces (SPS) does jimmy have... ill try to swing by there tomm afternoon.
