Hi All,
I've managed to get hold of 2 second hand aquariums on one stand. Stacking type like the shops have.
The top tank is 96 long, 36 wide and 18 high. Bottom tank is 96 long, 36 wide and 13 high.
These tanks are going in my garage and are for FO. Limited LR as i want to have as much swimming space as possible.
Stocking ideas as follows:-
Top tank
1. Adult emperor angel say 6 inches
2. Lip stick tang
3. blue tang
4. yellow tang
5. Sohol tang
6. coral beauty
7. Bird noise wrase
8. Blue line angel or Koran angel.
9. Harlequin Tusk
Bottom tank
1. Small clown trigger
2. Picasso trigger
3. Niger or undulate trigger
I will be running a common sump for both tanks that will run a Beckett skimmer or a needle wheel skimmer? If i have a Sand bed of 1 - 2 inchs in the top tank, would i be able to go without bioballs in the filter system.
I was thinking of adding 1 x seio pump (largest) to each tank (10000 L/hr each). That would give the top tank a water turn over of 12 times an hour and the bottom tank a water turn over 17 times an hour.
Do you think this set up would work or do i need to change anything (IE more seio pumps, less fish etc). Do you think a beckett skimmer or a needle wheel would work better in a FO application.
Cheers
