I just purchased a new Reefer 250 tank and decided to use the sump as a refugium with macro algae. The sales rep said there was not enough room for a refugium and a skimmer. Question is, should I have used the sump for a protein skimmer and added a separate sump for a refugium? Or, add the protein skimmer when I get to adding coral to the tank?
