New sixline Wrasse compatible?

I got a sixline wrasse yesterday for my 90 gallon. When I put it into the tank the Japanesse Swallowtail Angel chased it for about two or three hours. Didn't seem to bother the wrasse, but the angel seemed pretty upset. Is this usually behavior for an Angel? The Angel gets along fine with two hippo's, three clowns, 5 chromis, arrow crab, coral banded, and cleaner shrimp.

By the way I am thinking of getting rid of the chromis and get Anthias (SP?) Is this going to be ok with the other fish?

probably the Angel just lettin' the new guy know what's up. I've heard that sixline's will pick on other fish added after them.

Amen to sixline's picking on anyone that gets in the pool after them. Our sixline murdered a little maroon clown. Anytime he came out of his anenome or swam near the surface, the sixline would shoot out of nowhere and torpedo him. Sad to say, the maroon is no more...

Our Sixline because way more agressive after several months in the tank. We added a goby and it destroyed it, then it jumped to its death and I have to admit, we were relieved. I hope yours is much more mellow....

I got this one for a particular reason, so maybe he will do his job and leave eveyone alone. And he is much smaller than the other fish. (except for the chromis) I hope he does what I read about? From what I understand they are supposed to eat worms out of the tank, including small bristle worms. I got a large population of bristle worms and hoping he helps me with it. I like his look too.

I really like sixlines. I like watching them swim in and out of the rock caves. I also read they are known to eat the monti nudibranchs too. Wonder if they eat all pest nudibranchs?

I just picked up a green choris wrass this week and he made it 2 days :( I have the worst luck with fish! 6 Lines are known flat worm eaters also. I love the look of them and may try one again but have read a lot about them being mean as they get older.

I hope so...got a few zoa eating ones right now. Every night turkey baster and flashlight.....lol

Following my advice huh?

If you want Anthias, just remember to feed them multiple times per day otherwise you'll just lose'em. Make sure you get them to eat first as some can be picky feeders. I got lucky getting mine to eat, but I was feeding frozen cyclopeeze, I don't find any of my fish that don't like that stuff. Now they eat anything I toss into my tank, PIGS! I didn't know they would eat formula two, but they do now..... :D
