new skimmer arrives monday

That is sweet, never really looked into it because of the price.. but way worth the price!

I love the Idea of the E-mail if something goes wrong so you can log online and shut something off.

Okay now for the dumb question... What is OPR?

Didn't you put two Gen-X 6000's on that skimmer? Man I would love to get with whoever buys it and meshmod those pumps with a better venturi....

Yes I did and still do . Skimmer works great I can get a gallon of brownish liquid skimate out of it a day . The only reason I making a change is because one of the genx 6000 pumps stopped working and I was wanting to make a change .

Looks like a really nice skimmer.

So we don't derail his new toy thread, here is ORP and make a new thread for ac3 or orp stuff. Here's a link:

Not sure of OPR though.

I'm finding the ORP conversation very interesting myself . I was kicking the idea of ozone around a little . I am wondering if it is something that is needed ?

In short is oxidation/reduction measurement. If too many organics are rotting then the orp drops. But if it's too high it will force a rotting of possible good stuff. Not really an item to measure like ca/alk/mag but good for an idea of how your system is running. Keep reading it but do it when you feel clear headed and ready to absorb info. After that there are some ozone articles that get more involved I can link up or go browse the chem forum to find them in the chemsitry article thead that is stickied over there.

Check your sent folder and your message tracking folder. You may also have to change the default view to "all" on each of those pages.

Does anyone have a AquaController III setup? I would like to see one and see how they control everything.
