I have the octo pro 300 and its doing a great job on my 500 gal system. with the upgrade to the 300 pump i think I spent around 600 bucks for it

The bodies are very similar.

Ive got an ATI bm 250 on ~300g. I think it does very well. It runs just over 50 watts, and the mesh wheels are almost 2 years old.

I have no doubt the tunze, and sequence skimmers are both good. Both companies also have a solid rep for taking care of warranty issues. If I was shopping now I would probably have a hard time choosing between the two. I'd like the sump space of an external skimmer so sequence would probably have an edge.

Bubble king/Elos I'm sure both work very well. I just can't see either working twice as well as the others, when both are probably at least twice the price.
