new sps additions

Ok. It's been about four years since I was last in the hobby, buying sps. Recently set up a new tank (of course I'd come back ;) ) running about four months. Just added my first fish. I will be waiting maybe two more months before the coral madness begins, but was wondering what people were doing to prevent the inadvertent addition of pests, ie red bugs that I've heard so much about, and would like not to see in my tank.

Thanks

Yes you can use either Coralrx or Revive. Follow directions on dipping. And look for acro eating flatworm eggs on acros. Dips do not work on the eggs. Interceptor works for red bugs only. You can get it only from your vet.

It can get pretty expensive dipping corals in interceptor all the time, not to mention none of those methods will get rid of AEFW. I would read the "another option for red bugs" thread with its use of Bayer insect killer as a dip.
