Hi
I just purchased a tail spot blenny for my 90 gallon tank and its been 2 days and i have not seen him since i put him in any advice would be greatly appreciate on what to do or if i should worry. My parameters are
0 ammonia
0 nitrite
0 nitrate and
0 - .25 phosphate and 1.024 salinity
the tank has cycled for 5 weeks.
Thanks Dimitri

first, check the overflow and sump. fish tend to go for rides when they are in new areas.

otherwise, give him a little more time. he may just need to hide a while longer.

Check all the little hidey holes you can see, and also try feeding to see if he comes out. They have this wonderful color that matches with rocks, so they can be hard to see when hiding. Mine hid quite a bit when first acquired (in QT) but in the display he is usually out and about, though he does like to hide in barnacles with just a head poking out.

Also check the floor behind the tank if it is not fully covered, any fish can jump...

Thanks for the help
ive checked most of the holes still cant find him checked the back and he didnt jump out i also checked the overflow and there is no sign of hime there. when should i be really worried?

You can try to move some rock around and see if you see him or a body. but at this point, you might as well just wait, either he is gonna show up or he isnt. sadly to say, some times fish die like this, and they just disappear, it happens to everyone at some point.

Don't worry yet. I have one in a 20L and he still manages to hide, if he had 80lbs of rock yo hide in he'd be the master at it. Once he settles in he'll show up and start swimming around more.
