New tank and rocks

Ok I am starting my very first Reef Tank. I have had freshwater tanks before. I have a 72 gal bowfront. My question.... I have some rock that I have purchased but have not put into the tank yet (just got the sand in). Should I put in what I have and then put in the rest (on order) when it arrives or will that upset the cycling of the tank? I have about 40 pound here and another 30 pounds coming in about a week. Both are well cured.

throw it in and get is started. yes, you will have a "new" cycle starting when you put the other rocks in, but let some of the bacteria start to cultivate...

No. If I were to do it all over again I would cure in a separate trash can to make sure everything bad (hitchers) never end up in the tank. It also allows all "stuff" to come of somewhere else. You can then inspect your rock REAL close before putting them in.

At this point I have had the rock I have in a tub/barrel in the bathroom at my daughter's for about a week with a power head circulating the water around it. Planned to inspect very closely with their help on Saturday when we put it in. They have had a tank about a year now and are doing very well.
