New tank build NEED HELP!

Hi all. I'm currently in the planning stages of a new system. For about a year I've been running a 29 gallon with no sump, HOB filter, in-tank skimmer... Lets just say I've done tons of research and made all those beginner mistakes... It's time to set up a new system and do it right!

I want to do a total system volume of maybe 35-40 gallons. This will include a display tank and a sump. I want to buy a reef ready tank and I'm looking at the Marineland 25 gallon cube. What are my other options? I can't find anything else similar.

As for the sump I'm going to purchase a Aqueon Modular ProFlex Sump from BRS. Any input on this?

I already have a Deluxe Dual GFO/Carbon Reactor from BRS that I'll be hooking up in the sump.

I've chosen to go with the Reef Octopus 4" Pinwheel In Sump Skimmer. Good choice?

Return pump, Mag 5 a good choice?

Lighting... Lighting, lighting, lighting... I'm struggling here. I don't want to break the bank and I also don't want to skimp. I'm considering the JBJ K2 Viper 150watt. I want to try Metal Halide... I have a dual T5 fixture right now on my current set up and I'm not super excited about it... Can anyone make any suggestions? I also don't want to hang anything from the ceiling... lol

As far as rock I'll probably go with a package from reef cleaners and put my existing rock in the sump.

What will I be keeping in this tank? Softies and LPS. Keeping it simple, I just want a real nice tank to look at!

Everyone, thanks in advance! I appreciate any help I can get!

Lobster, the best advice I can give you is to check the dimentions on your skimmer, and make sure you are going to be able to fit everything you want in your sump. I went too small on my DT, and if I could go back and change anything it would be that.
