New tank design.

here's a new tank design i just got built with a mini fuge in the external overflow box.
tell me what you think!
btw the tank is 30x12x16(LxWxH)

yes i will indeed have a sump.

"mini fuge in the external overflow box" are you concerned with weight?

it was something i was thinking about, but the custom tank builder really knows his stuff and he did not seem concerned about the extra weight on the back.
(yes i know that sounds quite newb-ish)

i should get it this weekend. i have already seen it built, but i didnt have a camera to snap pics.

oh, and i think to incorporate the mini fuge i'll have a window-ish thing so you can see in.

What are you doing for lights?

for lighting ATM i just have a 2x24 watt hagen GLO T5HO fixture, but it will be upgraded to either adding on another hagen GLO,
or i might pick up a sweet 4x24 watt T5HO retro fit made by a local reefer.

thankyou! i've been working on this project for a ridiculous amount of time for how much is done, so its good to hear that it's paid off so far.

oh, and i think for the little fuge, i might have a tiny mantis in it (as we get mantis shrimps in our liverock at work that are about 3 cm at the largest)

I guess as long as you could catch him if he gets to big. I have seen some wild pics of them. Some get great coloration.

it shouldnt be too hard to catch him, since the fuge is so small i can just take out all the rocks.

we actualy raised one from about 2cm at our store. he's now about 2.5" and very cool.
