New tank from established tank. Quick question!

One fish

Hello! i am setting up a biocube and i plan to use a lot of stuff from my current tank because I am thinking I can outsmart the cycle. SO... my current tank has algae, a spot of hair algae, and i have to scrub the glass daily from this green cloudy algae. If i use the stuff from this tank, will I be having the same algae problems in my new tank? AND/OR can I start from 100 percent dry rock and sand to avoid the algae. WHY do all the petstore display tanks have no algae?!?!
Thanks a bunch!!

No matter what, you will still have algae. Dead rock, live rock, soaked in muranic acid rock, you'll have it.

Phosphate and nitrate control. Aka food for the little buggers.

Lfs tanks have no algae because they clean the tanks, would you buy fish from tanks that are covered in algae?

How and why are you going to outsmart the cycle?
