new tank -- gap between tank & stand

I am setting up a new tank (120). I was about to start filling it when I noticed a 1/16th of an inch gap between the tank and stand only on one corner. I have heard of people putting something between the two to fix the problem but I don't know what it is. Should I just get a shim stick it in there and cut it off where it stops?

1/2" styrofoam insulation from HD or Lowes works well. I have it under my 225.

I would definitely put a thick piece of foam between the tank to level it out. Good luck and be careful.

Never put a shim only between a tank and the stand. This will create a pressure point and cause a crack. Find out from the manufacturer of the tank if you should put foam between it and the stand. Some do NOT recommend this for their tanks.
