Here's a shot of my tank I just finished putting together. I thought I'd get a few shots of it at the beginning of its cycle before the algae kicks in :D

do you think there will be a problem with her hitting the glass and cracking it? I have a 38 gal. tank that has been setup for a year and was wanting to put a peacock in it, but don't want to tear it down to put acrylic on the bottom.

I put a sheet of acrylic on the bottom of my tank just to be safe, but I'm pretty sure it's very rare for them to crack the glass, and only the larger ones..........like 7+ inches

I wouldn't risk it. Mine would sometimes smash her PVC burrow in her futile attempts to widen her home. So she's decided to extend her burrow around the outside of the tube. I'm so glad I decided to lay some acrylic. The peace of mind you get is worth the effort

Agreed. No sense in losing sleep at night because of the slight chance it could happen. Better to be safe than sorry :)

What...is that second creature? Is it a bristleworm or something? I've found a few bristleworms in my tank and exterminate them on occasion when they start getting large...I feel uneasy with them around my mantis and friends, heh.

And let me say, as others have, that your mantis will be living in the Malibu Townhouse of Aquariumsâ"žÂ¢...beautiful man, something for me to strive for on my next aquarium :)

edit: clarity hehe
