New tank return pump question

Hey all,

I just purchased a new(used) tank. It is a 115g oceanic with a Fluval Fx5 filter and 2 Maxijet 1200 powerheads. My question is.... everyone recommends 10-15x flow return an hour. The fluval puts out about 600hr, and the maxijets alternate for wave making. The protein skimmer also adds a little return as well... Is this enough... I've only had a nanocube until now so my experience is limited.

Wavemakes are just visual and want you want is constant steady flow throughout the whole tank.The return is for the sump and i wouldnt figure it in your tanks flow. Flow is important but have may variables like amount of rock and rock placement.
