New tank!

i finally got my new tank set up!:eek1: i set it up about a week ago.

it is an oceanic 58g tank with a 20l sump. im running an asm g2 skimmer and 280w lighting system( same lights as the ones at zq but newer model). Matt made an awesome curved overflow box with rounded edges. ive got 2 seio 1100 powerheads on it for circulation and ive got my return coming up to both sides. the water is still murky from the aragonite so it is extremely ugly.

ill post some pictures in the next couple of days when my film gets developed.

i hope to host a meeting in a few months when i get it cycled and have something for you guys to look at.

i can finally see the back of the tank! that araganite is really nasty stuff

i bought 18 lbs of live rock at z last night. i got some really nice pieces, the only set back is that it is uncured

throw it on in! with a good skimmer and some already-cured rock, it should cycle fairly quickly. you don't have any livestock in there yet do you?

ni, i dont have any live stovk yet it hasnt even finished cycling yet. unfortunately i have to use my moms camera until my b-day in july, so i have to wait for the film to get back.i really hate "old" cameras.

just tested my water for the 100th time!:mixed: and it looks like my tank is finally finished cycling. im about to get 2 green chromis's, some astrea snails, and a couple of small crabs.

how do you guys feel about crabs, it seems like everyone has different thoughts about them!

i might want to host one of the next meetings, after i get some stuff in there for you guys to see

do you remember how much the oceanic 58g is? after trying out this iwasaki 15k bulb, i think i need a deeper tank than the 50g breeder. soooooooo freakin bright
