new tank

I am thinking about buying a new tank for the upstairs. I would like to do some research on the manufacturers, before I drop that kind of coin.

Looking for something in the range of 300-400gallons. Glass or acrylic does not matter to me. Price does have alot to do with the decision.

I saw that glasscages.com has a sizable selection that would fit in my budget, anyone else have an online/local supplier of a quality tank.

glass cages will get as close to chicago or if you can find a LFS that is a retailer for them i believe.

They deliver to St Louis several times a year. Visit their website for more.

glass cages and twin oaks are the same they deliver to STL. about 3 times a year.

right you can get it to stl ,but faster if you have a way to chi town

Why is that faster? They are located in Tennessee. Their next St. Louis show is before the next Chicago show.

i called about some tanks awhile back and they said they have more tanks readily available for pick up there to save money by shipping elsewhere, savings to you not them

He's looking for a 300-400 gallon tank. They don't pre-build something that huge, hoping to find a buyer in Chicago. They bring all of their tanks (pre-built or custom) to the shows for pick-up. I wouldn't want to haul a tank back from Chicago even if they didn't charge you the $50 delivery fee there, even though I'm pretty sure they do

yeah plus what ever the charge is to get it back i forget what it was but it was worth the wait to find one myself locally

That's kind of what I'm saying. For $50 whether you get it in St. Louis or Chicago, why not just get it delivered to the StL show? They don't make "stock" tanks that size anyway, nor do I imagine do any LFSs carry 300-400g tanks. For all the money you save by (maybe unfortunately) not buying it locally, the $50 delivery fee to StL is trivial.
