Hello fellow Reefers,

My name is Byron and I'm a Marine being transfered to Montgomery/ Auburn. I'm moving from San Diego where there's a huge reefer community. I don't know how popular it is in Alabama, but I'd like to get in with the community. If there are reefers in that area I'd like to get to know you when I come out at the end of the month.
I just broke down a 29 gallon reef tank, with a hang on the back filter. I now have a 65 gallon acrylic tank with a 20 gallon sump/refugium. I can't wait to get it set up when I get out there.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from yall

Welcome to Alabama! Montgomery has a consistent reef club, you may want to check them out. Because your close to Auburn please don't be afraid to choose Roll Tide over War Eagle, hey Auburn fans:lmao::lmao:

Geez....the poor guy hasnt even moved here yet and youre already trying to corrupt the poor guy!!!! :worried2:

:lmao:

Welcome to 'Bama! Thank you for serving our country. Yes, MTG has a good club going on here and since youre moving close to Auburn I will be more than happy to assist you!
War Eagle!

Byron, we don't seem to have anything in AL like the big swap meets and such that were so common in So Cal, but there is still a good population of reefers anyway. They're just quieter. :)

Hey all,

I appreciate you all coming out and welcoming me.

Toby, 6 TANKS, WOW! I'm sure I'll be there one day. I'm already thinking that my office could use a little 8 gallon nano reef, when I haven't even seen the office yet. But then again, what office couldn't use a little bit of the ocean? I think the 29 gallon that I broke down is going to me a hospital or frag tank. but who knows what it will become.

Nicole, glad to hear that yall are out there, just hidden behind some live rock. I've already started following some clubs on facebook, so hopefully it won't take long to meet everyone.

Bobears and Scapes, I'm more of an NFL fan. I find that college ball is way more difficult to follow. That being said, I know that I'm going to have to follow more NCAA and am glad that atleast I'm going to SEC country. I do like Crimson Tide's school history, however, it would be HIGHLY counter productive to my recruiting efforts (Yes, I'm a recruiter for the Corps) to work on College St in Auburn and cheer for Alabama. I'm definitely going to have to talk to those guys and figure out what's going on this season, cause things aint lookin to hot in Auburn right now.

Look forward to meeting yall soon.
