So I just started in this hobby and have found it to be totally addicting. I have a couple of questions..... First is it possible in any way to house a snowflake eel in my 12g nano? Is the stock lighting and filter enough to have corals of any kind? Any help on these subjects or any helpfull hints would be awesome


Oh and by the way I just set this up two weeks ago with live sand and 10 lbs of live rock! I now have Because of my lfs urging one damsel and three red legged hermit crabs?

snowflakes can get extremely long. It would be like you living in a small carborad box. so in theory, no, a snowflake in a 12 gallon tank is a big no no.
Get rid of that damsel. they are evil! lol

The bioload (waste production) of a snowflake eel would be too great as well. Even a 30g would be pushing it. There are some dwarf eels which are small but they are rare and expensive.

A snowflake in a 12 gallon is not a good idea. I had one in my 55 gallon and he even outgrew that. The love to swim around and be able to stretch their bodies out. I think anything less than 40-55 gallon would be in-humane.

Stick to fish like clowns, gobies, and blennys.
