New to AZ/PHX area - starting a tank...

Hi All,

I'm excited to become a member of this great community.

We have recently moved to the PHX area (Scottsdale) and I'm looking to get a reef tank up and running... Ideal tank size is 60x24x24.

I wanted to reach out to say "Hi" and get recommendations for local shops (which I always like to support).

Thanks in advance and I look forward to utilizing your expertise.

I would check out Reef Monsters in Mesa

Discount Aquarium in Tempe (Lots of used tanks and parts)

Aquarium Arts in Mesa

Kona Reef in Scottsdale

I would add studio blue in Surprise to the list if you are ever out west.

Go check out The Pet Shop off of power and baseline. Awesome people to do business with..

Since you're on Scottsdale, your best bet would be Kona Reef. Everyone else is a bit of a drive, but some are worth it(Studio Blue, Artistic Aquariums)

I recently built a 165, so if you want to bounce any ideas I'd be more than happy to. Maybe even lend a hand.

Great recommendations, but thought Kona moved to Phx- 32nd st and Shea. Still doing a great job, and great to see the same crew.

They did and they're still the closet one to Scottsdale, at least for me they are.

Az Reef Monsters is a nice clean store. Aquarium Arts has always been good to me but I feel they have gone down hill over the last 8 years. If you had visited them back then you would know what I mean.
