New to fish only

dp reefer

I'm switching my 60 gallon cube to fish only and I'm thinking about going aggressive but I don't really know all that much about non-reef safe fish. I have a few questions:

Does a fish that likes to float around (like a volitan lion) need a low flow tank?

Do triggers need a lot of swimming space, even when small? (my tank is only 2ftX2ftX2ft)

Will most triggers eat my snails and hermits? I had a small picasso trigger in a smaller tank I had a while ago and it didn't seem to touch the snails or hermits but it was only a 2 or 3 inch fish.

Do most aggressive wrasses need more swimming space than my tank can allow?

Can you keep triggers and lionfish together? (not a clown trigger)

Without corals anymore, what additives should I continue (besides KH)?

~thanks in advance.

Those fish will quickly outgrow that tank. You need to research the adult sizes of these fish before purchasing.

Yes, triggers are active and need swimming room.

The only additives I use on my F/O is a ph buffer every 2-3 weeks. Trace elements get replaced with monthly water changes. Use a quality skimmer. It makes everything easier.

For a tank that small, triggers are mostly out unless you were doing a species only with an undulated or a humu. Even then they may outgrow the 2' length. You could do one of the dwarf Lions or a Toby Puffer, one of the smaller wrasses or one of the hawkfish, and/or maybe one of the smaller eels like a snowflake or zebra. You could do a species only with a frogfish. A FOWLR doesn't have to be aggressive, take a look at some of the butterflies and pygmy angels you normally can't keep in a reef if the aggressive don't work for you.

I have a 45 gallon FO semi-aggressive community with a Toby Puffer (Canthigaster epilamprus), a purple psuedochromis, a chocolate chip star, and some type of giant snail. I used to have an arrow crab in there too but either he died or the puffer got him. I plan to add one more fish, possibly a longnose Hawkfish.
