New to online Live Stock Deliveries

I have been a long time customer of Drs. Foster and Smith. Always had excellent service. My question is:
Are there certain regions of the US and months where you would not recommend getting a live shipment? I would like to get more into getting live stock shipped as I am very limited to what I can get locally. Just wasn't sure if I should restrict ordering during certain times of the year.

Thanks,
Jay

the best time for livestock in my opinion is spring and fall. However since they do have heat packs and cool packs 99.9% of the time they will ship whatever time it is during the year - however usually backed up on holidays (not them but the shipping companies)

Jayke,

Thank you for your excellent questions. To ensure that livestock arrives in the best possible health, our specimens are packed with heating or cooling packs depending on the weather conditions where the order is being sent to. This helps regulate the water temperature in the package to reduce stress on the fish during shipping.

Additionally, we monitor weather forecasts for all of our shipping destinations. In the event of severe weather conditions, orders will be delayed from going out from our facilities to prevent the livestock from being affected by extreme temperatures. We also back our items with our 14-Day Arrive Alive, Stay Alive Guarantee in the event that any livestock is not received in proper condition.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,
Mike S.
