Hey there reef central,

Just wanted to say hello, I am new to this site, and still a bit of a noob in the hoby. I had a 25gal FOWLR which I kept for about a year, now it has converted to a 25gal reef!(for about 3 months) I have had fairly good success with my corals so far, nothing lost as of yet. (although I don't have that much in the tank).

I am still battling an algae build up on some LR I had when my tank was FOWLR. I have switch over to RO/DI water and have kept up with weekly water changes.

Here are some pics of what I have. And I am in the proccess of planning a 90gal upgrade, hopefully by May/2006.

Welcome Shane!

The tank looks great! Id like to suggest going to a 120 rather than the 90...I feel its a lot easier to aquascape!

12ogal eh! as much as I would love that I don't think it would fit well into the space I am putting it. I was considering a 110 AGA. The tank is 48"x24x24, or something like that. Maybe I will look into it a bit more.

My plan it to completely layout and design everything before I buy anything. So I guess there is no time like th present to ask my first question.

If id did get a 110gal tank,
How big should my sump be, and what kind of turn over rate should I aim for?

Nope, that is a 120, 48 x 24 x 24 = 120.
