Hey everyone. I'm new to the saltwater hobby (had Freshwater planted for a couple years) and just started my first Reef Tank which is a 44Gal AquaJapan w/ Starphire glass. I've been doing loads of reading and research, and have also be apprenticing at the LFS so learning a lot that way too. I'm in the military and have found that being an aquarist helps me stay relaxed.

Seems that this forum has lots of good information, and I'm looking forward to receiving feedback from the community.

Aqua Japan PRO44 w/ Starphire glass
Maxspect R420R 160w
Custom Sump
Hard Plumbing
Jebao return pump (forget the model)
eShopps PSK-75 Skimmer
Fiji Live Rock
Bimini Pink Sand
Miracle Mud

Where the elbow is under the skimmer I will have Coral Skeleton, and there will be egg crate over the Miracle Mud where I will have some algae. In the last chamber where the return pump is, I will have a phosphate reactor.

Welcome to the club. Secure all rocks. Go slow, don't rush. Be prepared as saltwater tank is quite challenging along the way. Looks good man.

Looks good. I'm running two reactors with biopellet and PO4 remover. I will switch to Red Sea NO3:PO4-X with dosing pump. This will be more convenient and cheaper. And the dosing pump will help to dosing another things

Welcome to the club...
I'm relatively do new also been doing salt water for two years now. That looks like a good setup for the first tank...I like your aquascape. How is the flow in your tank? I don't see any recirculating pumps and the flow in salt water makes the coral thrive... If that's what you are going for. I would go with to jebao pp4 s. For the price they are great.
