New to the Hobby

I have a 160 gallon display with a 30 gallon sump, and a 30 gallon and 55 gallon fuge. My granddaughter was visiting me from England recently and I bought a pair of tank bred false perculas. They were in the QT tank for a while and were eating well and looked great. I just transferred them to the display tank yesterday. They spend all their time either in the front left or front right corners of the tank (which is 60x30x24). Will it take a while for them to explore the rockwork and the rest of the tank? I feed them but with such a large tank they don't go swimming after the food.

My Ocellaris clowns spent the first day and a half in the front left corner, then another day in the front right corner before they began to explore. For the first week they always "slept" in one of those corners, then they found a spot inside some rockwork they liked.

I'm new to the hobby myself. I just started my 30gal the first of the year. My clown for the first two months spent all of his time at the top of the tank near my skimmer. I just took him a long time to get used to it all. When I added my pgyme angel the clown opened up some more. Now the two swim around together quite often. I guess that each fish has their own personality. My guess is your pair are just taking their time getting used to the new surroundings.

I thought that was the case. The female is more adventurous as she swims down to the other end of the tank and when the male realizes she is gone he rushes after her. Funny to watch.
