Hey I have a 10g tank and want to start a nano reef, what do I need? Any help is appreciated.

A light fixture, heater, powerhead, substrate (sand) & digital thermometer.

Then you have to figure out the water, if your going to make your own saltwater you'll need an RO/DI machine, hydrometer/refractometer, bagged salt.

I was thinking a 96 w light, 2 powerheads,12 pounds live sand, 9 pounds live rock, and the thermometer. How much does an RO machine cost?

Around $100-$120. If your LFS has premixed saltwater that is another option if you don't want to do it yourself.
