New to Tunze, need some questions answered, Please!

I just purchased two used 6000 Streams. First, is this going to be too much flow and cause a sand storm in my 90g?

Second, I want to have both pumps controlled, so I was thinking of getting the single controller and get the adapter to connect the other pump to it. This wouldn't cause any problems, right?

Third, I would like to give them a thorough cleaning, what's the best way to do this, I'm sure there's some tricks out there

For cleaning i would take the pump apart, let it sit in vinegar for a day or two, use tap water or RODI water to clean them thorough and you are ready to use.

As far as controlling the pumps your best bet is Multi controller. Single controller and the Y adapter cost almost as much as the multi controller, plus it doesn't come with all the options I.E Luna moon light, night mode, Interval I, Interval II and chance flow. I ahve seen people with 2x6100 in their tank without any problem with sand storm. You need to move the pumps around till you find your sweet spot.

Multi controller is the way to go. You'll be suprise what it can do to your tank.

7095 deff the way to go, you can spend years just trying the different settings, the only thing I would like to see on it, is a way of cancelling the feed timer, unless there is a way without power off I dont know about?
There are heavier grades of sand available which I have to use till my new tank is on line.
