New Torch Coral not opening?

Should I be worried? It was in the bag from a LFS 2 hours away and im afraid i damaged him. He was great in the store but has yet to open despite the hammer i got at the same time opening just fine.

It keeps discharging yellow white and previously blue string parts.

My parameters and water are maintained religiously and very good but i did dip it in revive before placing it. Could that be my mistake.

Its a 75 gallon tank w/sump with 4 T5 lights and two powerheads. Its about 1/2 way up the tank.

Its been 48 hours and hasnt opened more than this - should we just be patient or is there a problem? Thanks.

Some Euphyllia can be pretty touchy, especially when moved to a new tank. The Revive is fine to use, I use it often myself. Just keep it in an are of very low flow and low light and allow it to acclimate to your system. Some take longer than others and there's no set time that it takes. Main thing is once it's in the place of low light and flow leave it alone

Doesn't look good - the heads are disintegrating. Were both corals dipped?

euphyllia can make comebacks, so don't give up hope yet.

Thanks for the reply. and yeah they were both dipped but we moved it multiple times (wrong move) we finally are going to leave it alone and hope it recovers. Ill post updates thanks.

My hammers and frogspawn died when last time I bought it. The shipping was almost 12 hours and when I got them they are almost succumbed to brown jelly. The only alive specimens I've got are a cyarina and 3 heads from my 5 headed torch (2 heads had brown jelly)

Idk but of all corals, euphyllias are some of the most sensitive in shipping.

But as what theatres said, euphyllias can make comebacks. Half of my wall hammer died because the tissue got dameaged when it was still in the store. I was gonna frag it but I saw tiny hammers sprouting inside the skeletons so don't give up on them yet :)

That looks pretty bad bro :( I mean I never give up hope but when I see a few tentacles hanging over the side looking like a dead dogs tongue and nothing but skeleton around it... That sucks.. I hate using revive so quickly, i usually place in a QT till it looks healthy then revive then DT... Stress kills. Hope for the best it may miraculously rebound but IME torches usually don't rebound so well, good luck
