new way to spread corals around the club

I was talking with mike a couple of weeks ago about starting a simmiliar program to one that BAR does. Basically if you're looking for something in particular, and someone has it....they "give" you a piece. The catch is that you have to grow it out and "give" it away to another member before you can sell or trade it. We will keep a log as to who has what, who's looking for what, and who's been given what. I will be starting by giving a piece of my Tubb's horrida to nate. He will then be responsible for the rest sp long as the "tank of death" dosent claim another victim! Just joking nate. We can start posting here what everyone has available and who's looking for what. We will also have to figure out how many pieces one person can be given in a particular time frame.

You gotta get in the raffle. There's a frag of nuc green coming up. As in a previous thread Jake stated that if you win one of the Rares in the raffle you will be required to grow it out and donate a piece back to the raffle.

We're really looking to encourage people to support the raffle so as to be able to use the cash to buy the rares for the raffle.

We would also like to look to the members to sell hopefully at a discount rares for the raffle. So if you got something you can sell let Jake know.

I would also like to Thank Mike and Jeff for the donation of frags to the raffle. I think we got a good start and will build some momentum.

Jake will be posting before the meeting what rare frags will be available for the raffle and if you can't make the meeting and would like to buy raffle tickets, you can make arrangements with me to pay for the tickets.

so I am a little curious as to why nobody but Dan has responded to this post. It's not upto the officers of the club alone....we need participation from the members as well. We are trying to continue the momentum that jo, jeff, and mike have started.

Chris- I have the Garf Bonsai.....but it's still growing out. You'll be the first one to get a piece though! I also have two different tri colors....one's a Valida.....the other is a Nanna.
