Will the mushrooms take over a xenia or will they coexist?

Shrooms and Xenia sometimes release toxins that can harm one another. With that said, move them away from each other or take the chance of one or both dyieng. Also, if you do decide to move one, do not move it into the direct flow path of the other.

Its common names are red sea xenia or pom pom xenia, not sure about the scientific one though.

How would I go about seperatong them scince they are both on the same little rock?

If they seem to be doing ok, leave them and one or the other will move itself. Most likely the Xenia will move first so make sure it has rock to move across to. Other than this, let them be. Good luck with them!:)

Are the mushrooms and xenia attached to the same large piece of rock or is there a smaller piece of rock hidden beneath the mushrooms which is then attached to the large rock in the pic?

You could probably cut the mushrooms away with a razor. they would probably grow back but that xenia will grow fast enough to outrun the mushrooms.

I have a small piece of that same red sea xenia.

They are both on a tiny rock that is just sitting there.

I think I will let them talk about it themselves and come up with something.
