New Zebra Moray

So I saw this guy on DD, and had to jump on it while I had the chance. This is the first zebra moray that I've seen under 24" (According to DD, he is 13"). Has anyone kept one close to this size before? Just wondering what to expect in regards to growth rate....

I'm not sure - I got mine at about 2' 2 years ago and it has grown about 6" in that time period. I would imagine they grow a little faster when they are young, but I have no personal experience.

I'll be interested in seeing his temperament at that size too...what will he be housed in...and will there be other fish?

Arrived today and is looking great! Here are a couple pics in the bag before I put him into the drip acclimation bucket. Pic quality is pretty poor, as I was using my cell phone camera. Makes the tank look rather dingy. I'll try to get some better pics this week.

As for housing/tankmates, He will be going into a 75 with an existing pair of juvenile A. clarkii. I recently relocated from FL to Denver, and have a 96" 300g in storage which I somehow resisted the temptation to set up. He will be going in there eventually, but I think that the 75 will work out for now. I really wanted to make sure that I'll be staying in Denver long-term, as a 75g is a lot easier to break down and move than a 300. I know it looks a bit goofy, but I wanted to try a few of those fake LR/coral structures for him to use as a place to hide, along with actual LR. I also am replacing the lighting to LED's in a 2:1 blue:white ratio to make things more eel-friendly.
