New zoa won't open

I got some new corals yesterday. One frag colony of zoas opened as soon as the lights came on for about 5 hours. Then they all slowly closed up before lights out and haven't opened since. Lights are now on and still closed. I have a led par bulb. All the other zoas in the tank look happy. I can't seem to figure it out. Any advise?

What lights were they under in the old tank? You have to be pretty careful with new corals and LEDs. Light acclimation is a most exspecially if the coral came from a tank with less intense light. id say 90%of coral death from LEds i see are from too intense light and not acclimating new corals to the LEDs

I have 5 AI Sol Blues over my 180, with a TON of zoas, some exotics 30+$ a polyp.. Anyways, my tank is divided into three sections/dividers or support braces.. 6ftx2ftx2ft. Two of those sections have two AI Modules, and my third has just one. This gives me a chance to use the low lighting section to acclimate corals. When I give them enough time, I let the corals decide, I start to move the corals to a more light intensive area...

Obviously this might not work for you, but I did this after buying these new lights because I nuked 200$ in coral because of the intense LED's..

A par meter is always a reefers best friend too

Sorry to hear.

Do you have a picture?

Were they on frag plugs?

How many polyps on it?

Was the plug fresh white or aged from maybe algae, coralline etc?

Were they shipped or picked up?
