So i got my first zoas today and this is the first coral that ive ever had
my current tank parameters are
salinty 1.024
ph 8.0
ammonia .25
nitrites 0
nitrates 10-20
calcium 480
not sure of mag, alk

Anyways almost all of them have opened up, a cpl of them have not opened yet. But 1 of the polyps is green where as the rest are an orangish blue. Im not sure if its a diffrent type or whats going on with it, it was kinda closed and green when i picked it up from the LFS which did not have very good lighting in there tank. It seems to have opened up more since its been in my tank.

polyp in question is in the bottom right hand side of pictures

I bought the colony, but unfortunatly it has some aiptasia on it so i have to pull it out and get it off. They are placed in the front of the tank

Just another zoa. Pally's are bigger than zoas

Palythoas aren't just bigger than zoas, they are genetically different. They use sand and other solid particles to strengthen their structure. I don't believe that the green polyp that the OP is talking about is a paly, it is just another zoa.
