Hello to all, I have been reading this forum now for over a month in anticipation of getting our pre-built tank. My soon to be 6 year old son is absolutely crazy about Ocean life and has been asking for a reef tank for a while. So he made the decision to go with the tank over a puppy for his 6th birthday (yes, he is an only child). BTW if anyone really likes French Bulldogs I can get you one for a VERY good price. I will tell you the story if interested...
Anyway, we received the tank yesterday and have a few questions about a couple of things. When we purchased the prefabbed tank it had a feather duster, my son and I went back to the store a few times before and it had disappeared (apparently due to them taking the mandarin out. Well, when the guy delivered the tank, somehow the duster ended upside down attached to a rock in the back of the tank. Will he move? If he doesn't move and ends up dying without my knowledge will the cause issues in the tank? I tried take him off the rock by grabbing his tube, he is stuck on there pretty good so I decided to leave him there. I can see that he is sticking his feathers out of the tube, but doesn't get a lot of light or water movement.
2nd thing is regarding the brain in the picture, it opens up after the halide goes out. Should I feed him anything?
I have other questions but will save them for later in the thread.
