How did you mount your Hydor? Did you cut off the end of the return tube in the tank? Mine has a "bulb" on the end for the deflector and none of the Hydor adapters fit. I am thinking of drilling the whole thing out and replacing with a 1/2" bulkhead so I can use locline fittings

The only thing I have added is the termometer with the suc cup. Everything else is stock.

Me? How did I mount my hydor? I actually got it today and put in on this afternoon. Here's how:

1) On the display side of the false wall, pull the deflector off
2) The pipe with the "bulb"(good discription, I couldn't think of what to call it) comes off too, so pull that off
3) What you should have is a pipe that is built into the false wall, and the third largest hydor adapter fits that end
4) Put the hydor on the end of the adapter

I found out that the bulb end piece came off when I took the deflector off to wipe it off and the whole thing came with it! I thought I had broken it :lol:

AHA!!!! That is the key to the problem. Nobody else said that the bulb part came off. Thanks!!!!

Good question!! I just bought a new 24 aquapod and would like to know some beneficial mods that can be done for flow and keeping things cool (78-80deg.) My system has the PC's not the HQI.

I'm going to put a fan in the other vent and have it come on with the actinics. Also adding one more fan in my feeding door that will be on its own switch. About a $40 mod shipped (shop around online), nanotuners.com has a bunch of wireing stuff if you click on air cooling section.
