Hi Guys,
i have decided i want to build a sump for my Fluval Roma 90L tank as the filter and skimmer tank up loads of room in the tank and look rubbish. so i have designed a size/shape for the sump to go in the cabnet below the tank and am planning to drill the tank in the top left and right rear corners for the feed and return to the sump. i have attached some photos of my bad paint sketches!
my questions are:
1. will drilling the tank in those two corners be ok for the flow and return? (i plan to drill the tank i just wonder where is best)
2. how do i calculate the flow rate out of the tank or size of hole i need to drill and work out the pump i need to return the water so i dont end up with a soggy floor!?
3. how do i work out the size/hight of baffles i need or is this just my preference?
thanks in advance for the help!
kind regards
Sean.
