First - I want to say that it was nice meeting everyone at the December WRS meeting. This was my first club event (signed up at the house!) and enjoyed talking to many of you (I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer - Sick wife at home with 2 kids = Husband in trouble if he stays at fish club meeting too long).
Getting to the subject -
I am very new at this and I don't have alot of experience with buying saltwater creatures at the LFS's (except from Dustin at Pet Stuff in West Bend who is awesome!), but I thought I'd share my experience at Pet World today.
I went in to look at their coral tanks and from what I could tell, they have a much larger selection than anyone else around. I asked if they had a WRS discount, which of course I found out they didnt (but the Fish Room manager said he would talk to the owner and see if they could start offering one).
I ended up selecting a Chili Coral. Now being new at this, I'm sure I made lots of mistakes, including not thorogughly researching Chili Coral before buying.
Anyway, I do not have a QT tank at this point but someone at the meeting suggested doing a freshwater dip before putting anything in my tank.
Boy am I glad I did! After about 20 minutes, I found 1 spider and about 6 flatworms that had fallen off.
Is this indicative of Pet World's stock?
