how do I stabilize the rock when I build the caves we were trying to do this when we put the rock in and keept turning and placing it around- i agree it does look like it needs some caves- ut i am unsre how to do it- I dont want to have a collapse...

Get some 1/2" (or around that size, something to keep it stable, i forgot what size I used) acrylic rods, a masonry bit and start drilling! Use the rods to stack one on top of another and it will really keep them stable. Or you can drill really small holes and use zip ties to keep them together. It all gets covered with coralline eventually.

drilling with rods is a strong way to do it...
I personally have never used drilling... I'd just take out all my rock... order them from smallest to largest...then place the large pieces on the bottom and build up from there.
It helps to build in triangles..two pieces side by side and one piece out in front of those two pieces..then you can connect them and still be stable ..don't be afraid to put a few pieces closer to the front glass (just leave enough room for the magnet scraper)..as your placing each piece spin it around slowly 360 until it finds a natural fit..
also another suggestion is to get some larger pieces of tonga branch rock (waynesworld is a good contact for this rock) put them on the bottom and stack on top of these..it keeps the bottom of tank open for viewing and flow..
also some longer pieces or pieces that are extended make for good ledges that you can stack on top of.
I'll attach a pic of my current rockwork not perfect but maybe some ideas. and In my gallery there are pics of my old tank where i didnt have much room at all and was able to get a good setup.

hey nash - we used the stacking method and are now looking to see if we can change anything my pics are not very good - we do have some caves and places for fish/water to go through the whole front on the tank is free for them to swim and the chromis look like they are able to get in and out all over the tank. your tank is gorgeous. thanks for the advice -
