Temp: 77-78
Salinity: 1.024 "“ 1.025
PH: 8.1
Alkalinity: 9-10
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 15
Phosphates: 0
Calcium: 400
We dose for Alkalinity and Calcium every night as needed.
These Zoas where part of the first corals we added to our new tank.
For the first 2 weeks they looked great, always fully opened.
This week they have started to not open, sometimes you get a bunch that do open, maybe 10 or so. Then later close and others open, but not all open at the same time and when they do open they don't seem to be open as much. Everything else in the tank is doing great.
Change the water flow up and down, no change.
Changed the light level up and down, no change.
What have we done that may have caused this?
I cleaned algae off the glass, when I did that we had a bloom of free floating algae in the tank for approx. 1.5 days. You could see it when looking down the tank from the side.
My son feed them BRS reef chill by blowing it onto them from a squeeze bottle.
This weekend we plan to do our first water change, 10% of 75 gallons, clean the sock and return pump.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
