Hi guys. This will be my first SW reef tank. Used to breed cichlids 25 years ago pretty heavy. I have been reading and absorbing the forums for 3 years. Yes I am patient person. Just bought a SC150 drilled for ghost overflow. Looking to go LPS and enjoy the beauty reefs have to offer. Not really interested in SPS but I will purchase my equipment to grow both since I don't have to buy twice.

Plan on going dry rock and adding live rock into sump to seed.I am running a 75g tank for sump and will have a dedicated macro 40b that will overflow into sump.
My plans so far are: BK180 double cone skimmer
Lights either Mitras lx7 or coral care( not sure yet)
2- mp40's
Return pump looking at a varios-8 since I will run a
manifold for future use. will just turn it down if that's
okay.

That's about it so far. Painting by stand now and gathering up stuff. Thanks for the great info on this site guys.

I'd avoid any live rock in the sump.. Its just a place for more stuff to collect/rot..
Unless you really don't want much rock in the display..
