That was a very cool "backstage" tour. They were telling me the shark has about another month before it hits the display, they are sensory training it like all the other ones to accept food from a specific target. The shark petting tank was new and very cool. They explained to us how they make their own salt mix, and that they have one of the lowest mortality rates of all the aquariums in the US of only 5%, thats counting all the fish and animals combined. We got to see the water lab and all the testing equipment (my $20,000 dream water tester) the feeding kitchen, the cost of food blew my mind, the onsite vet clinic, acclimation chamber, frag growout (not too impressive but nice) and too much other stuff to write about. Overall awesome tour.
