Niger Trigger

Anyone ever added a Niger trigger aka redtooth trigger (odonus niger)in a reef tank? Never really trusted triggers with LPS's & SPS and clams.

I added a small niger trigger, 1-2 inches, into my 150 gallon reef with SPS, inverts, and a clam. It hasn't touched anything yet.

most nigers are considered coral safe..shrimp, hermits? toss up but many report they are fine

this fish gets really big

and they can become extremely aggressive when then start to get bigger

I had one in my folwr

I would never think about putting one in a reef

If I want a trigger in a reef I stick with the bluejaws or crosshatches. I've seen too many nigers become mean and I see too many pinktails start digging
