Night coral?

My lfs worker gave this coral to me for free, when I got it home it just looked like a red sponge so I gave it no thought(I suppose she felt the same way). I had it for a couple of days and then looked at my tank after lights out. This is what I saw. The only time this coral comes out is at night. Can anyone identify and give me any hints as to how to feed it, or any information at all? Thanks in advance.

Looks like a Red Chili Coral to me. It is Non-Photosynthetic.

I've had one that wasn't upside down, just in the shade

the other side had just as many polyps on it and the brown looking ones have turned brown within the last couple of days. whenever I feed they seem to jump out of their skeletons, literally.

Looks like Tube Coral, not 100% sure tho.
