Night Feeding

Hey I was wondering if pipefish could feed at night? I was thinking of trying to feed mine live brine shrimp after lights out because thats when he comes out to the middle of the tank. Will this work?

Your timid pipe fish is most likely feeding during the day if you are feeding the tank. My blue striped is also in "introvert" hiding in the rockwork. However, when the tank is fed, and you look to the back corner of my system, the lil' blue boy is scrapping away at foods that float back there.

They also hunt, all day and at night. Even if they are eating commercial foods, they continue to hunt in and around the rocks until they tuck in to their little nook to rest.
