Nikkon D40X???

[F35-Joint Strike Fighter]

I am thinking to get this one and need your comments on this camera. Is this friendly user? I am not an expert photographer.

Not exactly. It won't autofocus unless you use AFI or AFS lenses. I'd take a look at the D80 instead, or if you're not in a rush, take a look at the D60, which is replacing the D40x.
