Nipping?

Forgive me for a silly question - how do you determine that clam was nipped at?

the only way that i know to know for sure is to see the fish doing it. but if you have a fish type that is a known nipper and your clam is staying retracted or closed then that (the fish) is the first place i would look

Thanks! My crocea clam is opened nicely, has a good reaction to shade, looks altogether good. But i noticed two small yellowish spots on it. Is it possibly loosing it's color?

hard to say, it could just be the natural color of the clam.

can you post a good clear pic of the clam?
