I just finished a round of TTM with some Lyretail Anthais and had a terrible time with it and I lost 3 fish during the process. The remaining 2 are a separate 20G QT. I suspected velvet and added CP (ICK Shield) to that tank.
They are 1 week into the CP and seem to be doing fine... eating and swimming... I will go the full 30 days with this tank.
Is an AC 50 stuffed with seeded filter-floss sufficient for 2( or more ) fish for 30 days without a waterchange? I would rather not try to get the dosage of CP messed with...
I also have a 16G Tall QT set up with:
1x Fathead Sunburst Anthais
1x Longnose Halk
1x cole Tank
1x Bangaii Cardinal.
All of them are small (under 2 inches) and have been in QT for 15-30 days and are not showing any sign of sickness.
I do not/can't do TTM with this batch as I have a 13 month kid, an unhappy wife about too many tanks and I am not %100 confident I am doing the TTM correct anyway...
So I am thinking of just dosing this tank with Ick Shield Powder for 30 days but the tank has a little bit of live rock rubble (for the Kole Tang to pick at and for a little extra bio-filtration)
or should I move the 4 fish over from the 16G to the 20G and keep the 16G free of chemicals?
Mostly I am worried about filtration... I only have an AC50 with filterfloss on each tank....
