No more ASM Skimmers?

I was trying to figure out how big an ASM G3 skimmer is, and saw that ASM is no longer selling skimmers. What happened? I thought they were very popular these days.

That was a site that sold ASM skimmers. They just import them...they don't make them.

ASM raised their prices and got nasty about discounts, so many places stopped selling them. They aren't the deal that they were a few years back. If you're looking for cheap but decent, that niche is now filled by Octopus.

I just got my asm today. It is up and running right now. What is a typical break in time for a new skimmer?

A few days to see good skimming for break in. I use a coral life skimmer works great.

My ASM G4 has been running for 4 days now. Started skimming well for about an hour and then stopped producing skimate. Lots of bubbles though...

im not totally happy with my asm g3 skimmer. ive had it about4 months. I REALLY need to do the gate valve.. but i dont even know what that means. lol
